Synopsis
Oneiroramma is an experimental and surreal art-horror short film about betrayal, guilt, memory and psychic confinement.
Haunted by betrayal and loss, a woman enters a dreamlike spiral where memory, guilt and reality become impossible to separate. A man’s bloodstained shirt returns through different spaces and actions, gradually changing from an ordinary object into a material trace of mourning that she cannot remove from her life.

Director statement
“Betrayal becomes guilt, guilt becomes repetition, and repetition becomes something physically attached to the protagonist.”
The film began with a man’s shirt. As the relationship fractures through betrayal and loss, the shirt changes from an ordinary object into a recurring material trace of memory, guilt and emotional conflict. Its final transformation turns an internal burden into a physical ritual.
Visual approach
The film follows an associative, dreamlike structure while the shirt provides a clear visual axis. The black-and-white photography, wide-angle close-ups, controlled compositions, slow camera movements and expressionist lighting externalise the protagonist’s mental state. As the camera moves away from her, the frame gradually reveals figures, objects or spaces that were previously concealed.
The visual approach was influenced by the claustrophobic framing and psychological subjectivity of Roman Polanski’s Repulsion. Static shots, subtle electronic zooms and transitions that turn red before dissolving into black create a space that feels increasingly unstable and confined.
Sound is equally central. Voices from a neighbouring apartment, a dripping tap, a fly, a ticking clock, wind, music and silence shift according to the protagonist’s perception. At times the external world is muffled or removed entirely, placing the audience inside her subjective experience.
