Director statement
“A.I. was inspired by today’s reality, where algorithms and automation are increasingly replacing human decisions.”
The film asks what happens when these systems go unquestioned, when productivity becomes the only value and control becomes invisible but absolute.
Awards and recognition
A.I.: How I Learned to Love the Singularity has received 4 wins and 3 nominations.
Visual and tonal approach
The film leans into claustrophobia and absurdity. The car becomes both workplace and prison, while fast-paced cuts and escalating punishments echo the courier’s descent into powerlessness.
Its visual language combines digital coldness, confined framing and satirical exaggeration, reflecting a world where speed, efficiency and algorithmic control slowly erase human agency.
